Tigh Ruairí's offers the visitors to Inis Óirr a warm welcome that is embracing and sincere. Known in the nineteenth century as the Strand Hotel, today Tigh Ruairí's continues the long standing tradition of hospitality providing accomodation, good food and drink to the visitor. Owned and managed by the O'Conghaile family, Tigh Ruairí's offers twenty bedrooms all en suite and the best possible base from which to explore the tranquil beauty that is Inis Óirr.

Being the smallest and most easterly of the Aran Islands. Inis Óirr has for centuries been the jewel in the Aran Crown. Set in crystal clear blue Atlantic waters, the island boasts an abundance of pristine beaches, breathtaking scenery, cliff and shore walks, unique wild flowers and many rare visiting sea birds, several ancient forts and early Christian churches. The island is dominated by a fifteenth century tower house set in a stone ring fort as O'Brien's Castle.

Irish speaking, courteous and friendly, small population (c.300) affords the visitor an unique island welcome. The island is accessible by ferry from Doolin in Co. Clare and Galway City and Rosaveal. An air service is provided from Connemara Regional Airport.
